Job summary

Lucideon invites applications for a Computational Modeller based in Stone, Staffordshire. This permanent, onsite role focuses on developing digital models of sintering processes, kiln environments, and ceramic production, including digital twins for manufacturing.

You will hold an MSc or PhD in a relevant field with strong FEA skills (COMSOL preferred) and experience in thermal, mechanical or multiphysics simulations.

Qualifications

  • MSc or PhD in science or engineering with computational modelling experience.
  • Strong finite element analysis capability, preferably COMSOL.
  • Experience in thermal, mechanical, electrical or multiphysics simulation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance material and process modelling capabilities using COMSOL and other FE tools.
  • Create bespoke models and contribute to modelling platform development.
  • Collaborate with industry and academic partners to optimise manufacturing processes.
  • Interpret outputs to solve engineering and materials challenges across sectors.
  • Explain modelling benefits to clients and stakeholders.
