Outpost Bio is seeking a computational biologist to translate microbiome data into biological insights and reliable model inputs. You will own computational studies and guide scientific decisions connecting experiments to models.

You will work with an ML-driven lab platform, refine hypotheses with scientists, and develop reusable analysis code, aiding decision making across donors and conditions.

Qualifications

• PhD or a Master’s with 3+ years of industry work and evidence of independent research (papers/preprints).

Responsabilités

• Run standard analyses on each experimental screen and calibrate against controls.
• Assess datasets before model training; investigate contamination, assay drift and batch structure.
• Integrate new data types (metagenomics, LC-MS) into workflows with wet-lab guidance.
• Document assumptions behind computational tools and methods.
