Job Description

We are seeking a Composites Technical Buyer to join our team at the new Silverstone Facility. You will be responsible for procuring composite car components and related parts such as rohacell and tooling from external suppliers. We strive for excellence in every aspect of our team, encouraging innovative thinking and sharing ideas to foster a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Procure high-quality composite components and tooling within tight timeframes and at competitive prices.
• Coordinate tooling, raw materials, and child parts with suppliers to meet delivery schedules.
• Develop and manage the external composite supply chain, ensuring suppliers meet all standards and optimizing delivery performance.
• Report delivery exceptions promptly to stakeholders to manage expectations.
• Maintain proactive communication with all relevant stakeholders for effective procurement.
• Develop a thorough understanding of the company’s ERP system and contribute to its ongoing development.

Minimum Requirements

• Strong knowledge of composite component manufacturing and pattern/mould manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of composite raw materials.
• Understanding of engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Ability to perform duties accurately and efficiently.
• Effective communication skills with key stakeholders.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, and Teams.
• Flexible attitude and ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, rapidly changing environment.
