Job summary

Atlassian Williams F1 Team offers a 12-month Industrial Placement in the Chassis, Bodywork and Wings department. You will contribute to composite design, drawings and laminates that meet exacting standards while supporting R&D to push forward innovative solutions.

Based at our Grove campus in Oxfordshire, you will collaborate with manufacturing, quality, prototype and test teams and gain real responsibility from day one in a high-performance motorsport environment.

Qualifications

• Studying toward a Mechanical or Aerospace engineering degree with interest in composites.
• Familiarity with composite materials and manufacturing processes.
• CAD skills; NX experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering engineering designs, drawings and laminates to defined standards.
• Support cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, quality, prototype and test teams.
• Take initiative on faults and manufacturing queries to improve processes.

At Atlassian Williams F1 Team, our Industrial Placement gives ambitious students 12 months inside Formula 1. You'll take on real responsibility with projects that shape the future car and our business. Grow with a cohort from day one, then head back to university with experience you can apply immediately. The Chassis, Bodywork and Wings Department plays a critical role in developing innovative solutions that deliver performance to our Formula 1 cars. Our team of skilled Design Engineers works tirelessly to deliver right 1st time, structurally optimal car parts, directly influencing our performance on the track.

In this placement, you'll help design composite parts for the Chassis, Bodywork and Wings team, working on drawings and laminates that meet exacting standards. You'll also contribute to research and development, helping push composite design forward.

• Assist in delivering engineering designs, drawings and laminates to defined standards and procedures
• Support cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, quality, prototype and test teams
• Take the initiative on faults and manufacturing queries, putting teamwork into practice as you help improve processes

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

• Studying towards a degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or a related engineering discipline
• Some understanding of composites materials and manufacturing processes
• CAD skills; experience with NX software is a plus
