Job summary

NP Aerospace is looking for a Composites Design Project Engineer for Special Projects in Coventry. This position involves managing the design and development of advanced protective solutions and collaborating with various internal and external teams.

The successful candidate will have experience with composite materials, strong CAD skills, and the ability to work on innovative technical programs, along with flexibility in working hours and benefits like a discretionary bonus and generous vacation time.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment, ideally within the composites industry.
• Ability to communicate effectively on a technical level with peers and customers.
• Experience in compiling FMEAs, DVP&R, SRD, SoW.

Responsibilities

• Generating designs including material selection and CAD drafting.
• Providing technical support to design, development, and engineering teams.
• Undertaking problem solving of design and product issues.

Skills

Experience working with composite materials and processes

3D CAD modelling and detail design

Creative problem-solving capabilities

Good communication skills

Strong time management

Education

Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
