As a Composite Trimmer/Fitter Technician, you will be responsible for trimming, fitting, and bonding carbon fibre components working on a weekday night shift pattern.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Trimming composite material using specialised hand and power tools, following dimensions and tolerances from engineering drawings.
• Fitting composite components for bonded assemblies.
• Bonding and assembling composite components according to company procedures and standards.
• Performing composite repairs, such as filling voids or repairing damage, using appropriate techniques.
• Self-inspecting finished parts to ensure conformance to engineering drawings and procedures.
• Collaborating with other departments to optimise workflow, meet production targets, and improve component quality.
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work environment, adhering to 5S and LEAN principles.
• Adhering to data capturing processes to ensure compliance with regulations.

We are looking for a Composite Trimmer/Fitter Technician with the following skills and experience:

Key Accountabilities:

• Understanding and working in line with Williams Values & Behaviours.
• Ensuring health and safety compliance.
• Maintaining high standards of behaviour and conduct, representing the department positively.
• Adhering to brand rules and maintaining department presentation standards.
• Working to quality standards and seeking continuous improvement.
• Understanding cost cap rules and requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience in trimming and assembly, preferably in F1
• Competence in trimming composite components to precise dimensions
• Understanding of adhesive specifications and properties
• Knowledge of surface preparation for composite bonding
