Aeropeople Ltd is seeking skilled Composite Technicians for an onsite role in South Gloucestershire. The position involves working with composite materials, performing bonding, assembly, and fettling tasks, and maintaining jigs with strict safety standards.

Applicants should have at least 3 years of fitter experience in manufacturing, vocational fitting training, and proficiency with hand/power tools and drawings. Excellent salary and overtime apply, with a 3-month+ contract.

Qualifications

• Vocational training or certification in mechanical fitting, engineering, or a related field.
• Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
• Teamwork and effective cross-department communication.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out controlled structural adhesive bonding processes, including surface preparation, application, curing, and validation.
• Assemble composite components in line with Drawings, CAD or MoM, ensuring correct fixturing is used.
• Carry out small Fettling using approved equipment and processes.
• Ensure Jigs and Fixtures are checked and calibrated as per schedule with full calibration checks.
• Follow Health & Safety requirements and COSHH documents.
• Maintain documentation and bookings against jobs.
• Feedback assembly / component issues to Line Manager.

Composite Trimmer / Fitters

Our client require skilled technicians with working knowledge of Composite materials.

Duties

• Carry out controlled structural adhesive bonding processes, including surface preparation, application, curing, and validation.


• Assembly of Composite components in line with Drawings, CAD or MoM, ensuring correct fixturing is used where required.


• Carry out any small out of \"Fettling\" as required using approved equipment and processes.


• Ensure Jigs and Fixtures are checked and maintained in line with Tooling Documents. With full calibration checks done as per schedule.


• Follow Health & Safety requirements along with ensuring you have read any COSHH documents before using materials.


• Maintain documentation and bookings against jobs.


• Feedback assembly / component issues to Line Manager

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with composite materials and processes.


• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Successful candidates must provide a recent DBS check as the working environment is based around aerospace and defence projects.

Contract Details

• 3 Month + Contract


• EXCELLENT above market standard hourly rates


• Deemed OUTSIDE IR35


• 42 Hours per week + time/half overtime when permitting
