Job description

Have experience in composites? Looking for a new challenge? My client is seeking a Project Engineer to manage and support design & FEA projects from enquiry through to delivery for both prototype and serial projects. The role involves providing support to the project organization, technical support, and process documentation to ensure delivery requirements are met and maintained.

Responsibilities:

• Possess a good understanding of composite materials to provide customer solutions related to design and FEA.
• Read and produce technical drawings.
• Process material testing and generate reports on test programs.
• Support project managers with design, FEA, and customer presentations.
• Assist in the engineering aspects of projects alongside project managers.
• Learn and develop responsibilities within customer projects.
• Support senior management in project acquisition and management, serving as a point of contact for customer communication.
• Administer project documentation using the existing ERP system.

Additional Requirements:

• Experience with Instron material testing.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems, preferably Progress Plus.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Support project management in engineering tasks where possible.

Experience Required:

• Master's or PhD degree in engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in composites design.
• Proficiency with CAD package CATIA.
• Strong communication skills at subordinate and peer levels.
• Good operational and organizational skills.
• Sense of responsibility and integrity.
• Ability to manage difficult situations and associated stress.
• Experience in aerospace is desirable.
