Job summary

Senior Bird Bellows in Congleton is seeking a detail-focused Composite Operator to join our regulated manufacturing team. You will contribute to the consistent production of high-quality composite parts used in our ducting components.

In this hands-on role, you will assemble components, maintain tools, laminate, vacuum bag, trim, and ensure adherence to health and safety standards and company procedures. The position offers a supportive environment with a 4-day week and strong pension and

Qualifications

Strong manual dexterity and confidence performing hands-on tasks
Proven ability to produce highly accurate, detail-critical work
Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or composite production
Ability to follow clear verbal and written instructions
A responsible and safety-conscious approach to work
Reliability, attention to detail, and a positive team attitude

Responsibilities

To assemble composite components including and up to final assembly
Tool maintenance & preparation
Material cutting and kitting
Laminating
Vacuum bagging
Demoulding and trimming
Bonding, fitting and assembly
Control of clean room
Visual inspection
Handle materials and tools safely
To complete the above activities using defined procedures and work instructions
To observe and maintain high standards of Health & Safety
To ensure that all work activities and records comply with Company Policies, Procedures and Codes of Practice
Support continuous improvement and maintain a clean, organised workspace
