Job description

Red Bull Advanced Technologies (RBAT) is a hub of innovation, pushing boundaries across land, sea, and air by leveraging Formula One expertise. Our project portfolio includes the RB17 Hypercar, a submarine, and other cutting-edge projects.

We are seeking a Composite Laminator to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain a working environment aligned with ISO certification and 6S lean methodology.
2. Input data accurately and promptly into Manufacturing Execution System (MES) & Production Management tools, recording all productive time.
3. Prepare Production Tooling according to Standard Production Specification (SPS).
4. Manufacture composite tooling following technical instructions and signoff processes.
5. Manufacture composite components in line with technical instructions and signoff procedures.
6. Operate laser projection equipment for guiding and confirming key measurements.
7. Perform Romer measurements and Laser Tracker scans to define or verify critical features.
8. Record all activities accurately in the Manufacturing History Record (MHR) documentation.
9. Strive to meet quality targets and achieve right-first-time (RFT) results.
10. Accurately and promptly record hours worked in the F1TS timesheet, including shift details.

Key Competencies:

1. Ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals to carry out laminating tasks correctly and on schedule.
2. Strong laminating skills with knowledge of pre-preg materials, laminate specifications, weaving orientations, and complex layup techniques, including visual carbon detailing.
3. Proficiency in using hand tools and equipment relevant to laminating tasks.
4. Experience in vacuum bagging a variety of components and molds using industry-standard techniques.
5. Competence in using MES and MRP systems for logging activities and retrieving job information.
6. Skillful use of laminating technology such as Laser Projection, Romer Arms, and Laser Tracker scanners.
