Job summary

NP Aerospace is seeking experienced Composite Laminators for a temporary placement to December 26 to support an exciting new project. This hands-on production role covers preparing, laying up, bagging and tooling to manufacture composite components in line with drawings and work instructions.

You will operate in a fast-paced environment prioritising quality, safety, traceability and first-time-right production.

Qualifications

• Essential: Previous experience working as a Composite Laminator or in a similar composite manufacturing role.
• Experience with composite layup, laminating and bagging processes.
• Experience working with carbon fibre prepregs or other advanced composite materials.
• Able to follow technical drawings, work instructions and process specifications accurately.
• Strong attention to detail with a clear commitment to product quality and traceability.
• Good understanding of Health and Safety requirements within a production or manufacturing environment.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out composite laminating, layup and bagging of components in line with work instructions and production schedules.
• Prepare materials, tools and work areas before starting production tasks.
• Support vacuum bagging and curing processes, including autoclave and oven cure related activity where trained and authorised.
• Inspect work during and after production to ensure components meet the required quality standard.
• Work from technical drawings, work instructions, process specifications and manufacturing documentation.
• Record production information accurately, including time bookings, and material traceability.
