Job summary

Gurit is seeking a Composite Design Engineer to join its UK team based in Newport, Isle of Wight. You will work within a full-service composite group providing design, analysis, and support for projects across marine, wind energy, and industrial sectors.

The ideal candidate has more than two years of hands-on experience in composite engineering, with solid knowledge of both theory and practical manufacturing methods. Excellent communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Material Science or related field.
• Knowledge and experience of working with structural composite materials and building methods.
• Fluent in English, both speaking and writing - essential.

Responsibilities

• Planning, project management and client liaison on engineering projects under supervision.
• Conceptual structural design and detailed design and analysis of composite projects under supervision.
• Assist in development of innovative and efficient engineering solutions and working methods.
• Develop technical capability and broaden engineering knowledge across markets.
• Develop project, commercial and personnel management skills.
