Job description

Matthew James Recruitment are seeking a Compliance Technician on behalf of this client.

Working Hours:

6am until 2pm or 7am until 3pm

Responsibilities and key aspects of activity:

  1. Create and carry out inspection and testing schedules for all fixed wiring installations.
  2. Create and carry out inspection and testing schedules for all Portable Appliances.
  3. Create and carry out inspection and testing schedules for all Emergency lighting.
  4. Complete all electrical works in line with current legislation & regulations.
  5. Ensure all electrical equipment & panels are in a safe and secure state to prevent endangering themselves or others.
  6. Assist the General Maintenance department as required.
  7. Ensure all relevant paperwork is correctly completed.
  8. Maintain awareness of Health and Safety and hygiene policies.
  9. Maintain a clean & safe working environment.
  10. Undertake other duties as requested by Departmental Managers or other company Managers.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • Suitable qualification to carry out electrical testing to current regulations.
  • NVQ Level 3 or above in electrical discipline.
  • 18th Edition desirable.
  • Professional approach.
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, organise & prioritize workloads.
  • Dexterity and good technical ability.
  • Practically minded, able to roll sleeves up and get involved.
  • Ability to remain focused.
