About the role:

The Compliance Specialist will assist the Compliance department with policies, procedures, training, regulatory inquiries, changes, and applications. They will work on new products, exchanges, jurisdictions, and trading strategies, ensuring regulatory obligations are met, especially in wholesale derivative and crypto markets. They will collaborate with the CCO/MLRO to maintain a robust financial crime compliance framework, aligning with industry best practices and regulatory expectations.

This role is based in London, with the option to work remotely two days per week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Legal and Compliance teams to uphold high standards of compliance and ethics.
  • Identify and manage regulatory changes, ensuring the company remains compliant through systematic tracking and project execution.
  • Review and approve new business proposals, marketing materials, ensuring regulatory compliance while supporting commercial objectives.
  • Maintain and update policies, ensuring staff attestation and communication.
  • Deliver tailored training to staff, supplementing web-based training programs.
  • Support responses to regulatory inquiries, audits, and examinations.
  • Manage conflicts of interest and other compliance issues.
  • Perform horizon scanning on crypto and derivatives regulations, advising on ongoing developments.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 7+ years of UK-based regulatory compliance or legal experience, preferably in fintech or cryptoasset trading.
  • Knowledge of FCA requirements, laws, and regulations.
  • Understanding of crypto products and wholesale financial markets.
  • Experience developing compliance programs in fast-growth environments.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Willingness to work across time zones with global teams.
