Job summary

Bruin is supporting a large global wealth management firm in Manchester, recruiting a VP-level Compliance & Controls specialist. This senior role focuses on internal controls, regulatory change reporting and ensuring governance across the function.

You'll horizon-scan regulatory developments, partner with business units, support MI and regulatory reporting, and advise on compliance frameworks and governance risks.

Qualifications

• Significant experience with stakeholder management and cross-functional relationships across business units.
• 2/3+ years in Compliance and Regulatory Governance within complex Financial Services.
• Strong knowledge advising on Compliance, monitoring and testing and identifying governance risks.

Responsibilities

• Horizon scanning and identifying regulatory developments, relevant risks and assessment thereof.
• Act as key liaison to ensure governance requirements are met and communicated effectively.
• Support MI reports, regulatory reporting, implement compliance frameworks and advise on best practice.

Our client, a large global wealth management firm, are expanding within their Compliance & Controls function and hiring at VP level!

Key Responsibilities:

• Horizon scanning and identifying regulatory developments, relevant risks and assessment of these.
• Acting as key liaison withing the function ensuring governance requirements are met and communicated effectively.
• Supporting with MI reports, regulatory reporting, implementing compliance frameworks and advising on compliance best practice when needed.

Ideally, you will have or be:

• Significant experience with stakeholder management, business partnering and building strong relationships across the business functions.
• At least 2/3 years’ previous experience within Compliance and Regulatory Governance, in a complex Financial Services environment.
• Solid knowledge and experience with advising on Compliance, monitoring and testing, and identifying relevant governance risks.

One thing to note is this is not a financial crime, AML, or KYC Compliance position!
