We have partnered with an elite US law firm that is looking to recruit a Compliance Specialist into its London based compliance team. The firm is best known for its Capital Markets and mainstream Corporate M&A work, with a client base that includes some of the world’s largest investment banks.

Reporting to the Head of Risk and Compliance, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the firm’s AML processes. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced compliance professional seeking a challenging yet rewarding role, and who would relish the chance to build their career at one of the world’s most prestigious law firms.

This role will operate across the firm's various practice groups, ensuring that the onboarding of new clients and matters complies with relevant AML legislation, as well as the firm’s internal policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

• Revising and updating the firm’s AML framework and developing supporting guidance
• Acting as a first point of escalation for AML related queries and ensuring they are addressed in a timely and efficient manner
• Conducting client due diligence and PEP/sanctions screening
• Managing complex CDD issues
• Collaborating closely with the firm’s lawyers, as well as compliance teams in Asia and New York

To be considered for this role, you must have at least four years of solid AML experience gained within a law firm. The position would suit someone with strong legal analytical skills who is confident, assertive, and proactive in their approach.
