Job description

Sinclair is looking for a compliance specialist to join our dynamic Compliance. You will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of Compliance and the team with everyday compliance matters. You will provide expert advice on a wide range of issues including anti-bribery and corruption, ethics, whistleblowing, export control, sanctions, data protection, privacy etc.This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence and uphold our commitment to the highest standards of integrity and ethical business practices.

Location: Hybrid working 3 days in the office 2 at home, Lakeside, Chester Business Park, Cheshire, CH4 9QT

Responsibilities:

  • Provide general support to the Head of Compliance.
  • Assist in developing and enforcing the Compliance programme, focusing on anti-bribery and corruption, data protection, export control, sanctions, training, modern slavery, due diligence, and risk management.
  • Enforce internal policies and procedures, and help with drafting, reviewing, and circulating policies.
  • Review contracts from a compliance perspective, including consultancy, distribution, and supply arrangements, and assist with drafting and amending contracts.
  • Create and update precedent agreements in line with legal or regulatory developments for use by the Compliance team and wider business.
  • Support project-based work to aid the Compliance team and wider business.
  • Create training materials, organise and provide compliance-related training to employees.
  • Develop materials for submission to senior management and the Board of Directors.
  • Act as a point of contact for the wider business on compliance matters.
  • Build global relationships with employees to promote a strong compliance culture.
  • Perform compliance admin support tasks.
  • Undertake additional roles and responsibilities as needed to contribute to the successful operation of Sinclair.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in a compliance-focused role.
  • Proven compliance background with the ability to communicate on anti-bribery, export control and sanctions, modern slavery, third-party due diligence, and data protection.
  • Ability to juggle priorities with a 'can do' attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in writing and updating policies and delivering training.
  • Experience in performing compliance investigations and/or audits.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.

Desirable:

  • Prior experience in the aesthetic or medical device industry.
  • Experience with multi-territory operations.
  • Multi-language capability.
