Compliance Project Manager
London – Hybrid
Contract until March 2026, inside IR35
Purpose of Job
Seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead process mapping and capability & capacity workstreams within the EMEA Compliance Transformation Programme. The role involves designing and implementing future-state operating models, aligning people, processes, and technology to support a scalable compliance function across the region. Collaboration with Compliance, HR, ITSD, Risk, and external partners is essential for successful delivery.
Background
- CMG provides enterprise project, programme, and portfolio management resources and expertise, established in Nov 2019 as a strategic, centralized function.
- It serves as a resource center/center of excellence with qualified project, programme, and change managers, business analysts, and junior analysts, organized into multidisciplinary teams.
- The EMEA Compliance Transformation programme is a multi-million-pound initiative across 19 countries and multiple entities, aiming to evolve compliance into proactive, strategic partners leveraging technology and data analytics.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Lead the Capability and Capacity workstream, including process mapping, role definition, and resource modelling.
- Collaborate with SMEs to document current processes and design future workflows aligned with strategic goals.
- Identify skills and competencies needed for future roles; work with HR and L&D on training plans.
- Develop and implement capacity models to ensure adequate resourcing.
- Build relationships with stakeholders across Compliance, HR, ITSD, and external consultants.
- Establish governance structures and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Support change management activities, including communications, training, and transition planning.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and operational efficiency post-implementation.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Proven project management experience within Compliance, Risk, HR, or Operational Excellence in a global financial institution.
- Strong skills in process mapping, operating model design, and capability development.
- Familiarity with capacity planning tools and workforce modelling.
- Understanding of EMEA regulatory environments and compliance functions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working with consultancy partners (e.g., Big 4) is advantageous.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
