Oliver Sanderson partnered with a leading organisation in the Utilities sector to source a Compliance Officer based in London. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented professional to join the Legal Services team, supporting the implementation of compliance frameworks that uphold ethical and legislative standards.

You’ll be instrumental in delivering compliance programmes and ensuring alignment across key areas including fraud, anti-bribery and corruption, public interest disclosure (whistleblowing), business separation, and competition.

Areas of focus:

• Support the Principal Compliance Officer in delivering the annual Compliance Plan.
• Assist in the review and implementation of policies, procedures, and processes.
• Help deliver compliance training and communications across the business.
• Contribute to compliance-related projects and conduct risk assessments.
• Analyse systems and processes to ensure continued compliance with legislation and regulation.
• Help prepare reports and materials for the Risk, Audit and Assurance Committee and other key forums.
• Keep up to date with relevant legal and regulatory changes.

Skills & Experience:

• A degree, HND or equivalent in law, auditing, finance or a recognised compliance qualification.
• At least 5 years’ experience in a regulated compliance environment.
• Strong legal knowledge across relevant compliance disciplines.
• Proven experience delivering compliance projects and risk assessments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels.
• Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills.
• A logical problem-solver with a resilient, adaptable mindset.
• A strong team player with high ethical standards.

This is a hybrid role based in London, with 2-3 days per week on site.
