Qualifications

• Experience in risk and compliance within the legal profession.
• Experience with AML legislation: advisory and escalation.
• Regulatory knowledge: SRA, LSAG, Law Society, CQS, ICO.
• Risk assessment and auditing; reporting and recommendation.
• Policy, guidance and framework drafting.
• Training and development.
• SOF and SOW management.
• Data Protection (GDPR) and AI considerations.
• Attention to detail within a law practice and business operations.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Risk and Compliance in daily duties.
• Work in risk and compliance within the legal profession.
• Provide guidance on regulatory matters and best practices.
• Conduct risk assessments and audits; report findings and recommendations.
• Draft policies, guidance and framework documents.
• Deliver training to staff and partners.
• Assist with SOF and SOW processes.
• Address GDPR and AI related considerations.
• Maintain keen attention to detail across practice operations.

The Role

The ideal candidate will work alongside the Head of Risk and Compliance and will have the following the experience;

• Working in both risk and compliance within the legal profession;
• AML legislation. Advisory and escalation;
• Guidance and regulatory knowledge – SRA (professional ethics), LSAG and Law Society, CQS, ICO;
• Risk Assessment and auditing; reporting and recommendation;
• Policy, guidance and framework drafting;
• Training;
• SOF and SOW;
• Data Protection (GDPR) and AI; and
• An eye for detail and an understanding law practice, business operations & risk.
