Compliance Officer : Mortgages & Insurance
Job Description
Our client is one of the largest mortgage brokers in the Southern area, and due to growth and expansion in the business is looking for a Compliance Officer to join the dynamic yet supportive team.
This role would suit someone who is looking for a role with compliance management and has the ability and experience in overseeing and monitoring all processes and sales.
To be considered you must have a minimum of 2 years experience within mortgage and insurance compliance or have been a Mortgage Broker for at least 5 years and wanting to move into a compliance-based opportunity.
Key Duties
Monitor and assist with regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Maintain accurate records of compliance activities and findings. Prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies.
Provide support to brokers on compliance-related matters. Report training concerns to the Training and Development Manager for delivery of remedial compliance training.
Assist in the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures.
Assist with any customer interactions and complaint investigations or queries related to compliance issues in a professional and timely manner.
Stay updated with changes in relevant laws and regulatory updates.
Skills and Knowledge
CeMAP or equivalent preferred
Previous experience in a compliance role (minimum of 2 years) or a mortgage adviser role.
Knowledge of mortgage and protection advice industry is essential.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Hours
Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm (1 hour lunch)
Salary and Reward
Full-time, Permanent, Office based
Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
