THE COMPANY: Our client is a multinational banking organisation. They are seeking a generalist Compliance Officer to join the team.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES:- Tracking and operationally implementing UK AML regulatory updates
- Working on all financial crime matters depicted in FCA Financial Crime Guide.
- Working closely with CDD/KYC customer on-boarding process for complex corporate customers
- Assessing the level of risk associated with PEP/RCA, SIE, SIP, and adverse news during customer on-boarding.
- Understanding, track and implement the sanctions updates from HM Treasury's Office for Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI)
- Good breadth of tracking and implementing the relevant regulatory updates
- Working on risk and control processes (CSA, RCSA and RRSA)
- New Product Approval Process
- Experience of conducting annual risk assessment on various risk areas for example, ABC, CFA, Conduct, Modern Slavery etc.
- Dealing with FCA reporting requirements through RegData portal.
- Submitting FCA CONNECT Applications.
- Updating internal Policies and Procedures in timely manner.
- Implementing reg compliance, CDD/KYC, and any other systems.
- Formulating compliance testing plan and carrying out the FCC and Reg Compliance testing and QA locally.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:- Minimum 4-5 years Compliance experience within the Banking/Financial Industry, leaning towards international and UK compliance.
- Knowledge of both financial crime and regulatory compliance/compliance monitoring
- A strong knowledge of UK AML regulations including JMLSG guidelines
- Familiar with UK’s legal regulatory framework and requirements
- Good & practical understanding of banking products
- PC literate, particularly Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Experience of interacting with an overseas Head Office would be an advantage.
- Experience in understanding and implementing CDD/KYC related systems
