Job summary

Andersen James Group’s Nottingham centre is seeking a Compliance Officer to support safe, compliant and efficient operations on site. The role covers health & safety, contractor coordination, RAMS, CAFM systems and recordkeeping, with daily liaison to engineers and internal teams.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of health & safety principles and experience with contractors or CAFM, plus strong organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee health & safety and compliance activities at the centre.
• Coordinate contractors and manage permits to work.
• Conduct risk assessments, RAMS and safe systems of work.
• Use CAFM systems for maintenance tracking and records.
• Maintain audit actions, logbooks and compliance documentation.
• Report accidents and incidents; manage related records.
• Assist with insurance and CCTV administration.
• Liaise daily with contractors, engineers and internal teams.

Want to build or further your career in Health & Safety, Compliance or Facilities Management within one of Nottingham’s busiest retail destinations?

We’re recruiting a Compliance Officer to join the onsite team at a major shopping centre, supporting the safe, compliant and efficient running of the destination.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in facilities, technical administration, compliance, H&S or FM helpdesk environments who is ready for more responsibility and exposure.

You’ll work across a varied mix of:

• Health & safety and compliance activity
• Contractor coordination and permits to work
• Risk assessments, RAMS and safe systems of work
• CAFM systems and statutory maintenance tracking
• Audit actions, logbooks and compliance records
• Accident and incident reporting
• Insurance and CCTV-related administration
• Day-to-day liaison with contractors, engineers and internal teams

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where strong organisation matters, but so does confidence. You’ll need to be comfortable chasing information, challenging missed deadlines and making sure things get done properly.

The environment is particularly interesting right now, with a major redevelopment programme ahead that will bring increased contractor activity, operational complexity and plenty of opportunity to build your experience.

We’re looking for someone with:

• A good understanding of health & safety principles
• Experience working with contractors, compliance records or CAFM systems
• Strong organisational and communication skills
Confidence to challenge and follow up actions
• IOSH Managing Safely, or similar practical H&S knowledge

NEBOSH, First Aid and SIA/CCTV qualifications would be useful, but are not essential.
