COMPLIANCE OFFICER - NEWCASTLE

A full service law firm in Newcastle, is looking to recruit a Compliance Officer to join its business support team.

You will be responsible for:

- Executing comprehensive due diligence for clients, adhering to AML and ID guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Ensuring all identification requirements are met, maintaining strict compliance with both internal and external protocols.
- Acting as a key player in the firm, enhancing client service and operational efficiencies.
- Monitoring onboarding progress proactively, liaising with the Head of Risk and Compliance on any client ID issues.
- Providing progress updates to partners, solicitors, and support teams.
- Chasing clients proactively to expedite matters.
- Opening and managing all firm files, ensuring accurate data entry into the practice management system.
- Maintaining confidentiality and uphold the firm's policies and procedures, including health and safety, IT security, and equality.
- Managing ongoing monitoring alerts for clients, reporting any concerns to the Head of Risk and Compliance.

The ideal candidate will have:

- Experience in a regulated environment, preferably within the legal sector.
- Strong communication skills and confidence in using a case management system.
- Excellent research and analytical abilities.
- Driven to meet deadlines and work efficiently under pressure.
