The Supply Register Ltd. is seeking a Compliance Officer to join the Further Education division at our head office in Keele.

You will guide candidates through pre-employment checks, DBS, references and right-to-work verifications, delivering a smooth onboarding journey. Under the Regional Compliance Manager, you will manage a high volume of files, identify gaps, and support audits while maintaining GDPR and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• At least 12 months experience in a compliance role.
• Confident working independently and to strict timeframes.
• Excellent organisation skills for high-volume files.

Responsibilities

• Guide candidates through pre-employment checks including DBS, references and right to work.
• Collaborate to provide an excellent candidate journey and meet deadlines.
• Manage a high volume of candidate files and keep CRM updated with compliance data.
• Identify compliance gaps and support corrective actions.
• Stay up to date with legislation such as KCSiE and APSCo.
• Assist with external audits and ensure GDPR-compliant documentation.

Job Title: Compliance Officer

Reporting to: Head of Quality & Compliance

Location: Head Office, Keele

Salary: £26,000 to £28,000 per annum

Our Further Education have experienced significant growth over the last 12 months. They are therefore looking to grow the current team and have an opportunity for a Compliance Officer to jon them.

Under the leadership of the Regional Compliance Manager, you will be part of the wider compliance team and will support the division in guiding candidates through the full onboarding and compliance process, whilst maintaining the highest regulatory standards. As a Compliance Officer, you should be confident managing a large pipeline of candidates and should demonstrate a proactive approach to obtaining candidate documentation whilst providing an outstanding candidate journey.

Role & Responsibilities

• Guide all candidates through all pre-employment checks, including DBS checks, referencing and right to work checks.
• Work with the resourcing executive and wider partnership team to provide an excellent overall candidate journey
• Effectively manage a high volume of candidate files, often with strict deadlines
• Identify compliance gaps and support with corrective actions
• Stay up to date with changes in legislation such as KCSiE and APSCo
• Escalate compliance concerns and/or breaches to the Head of Quality & Compliance
• Work collaboratively with the wider compliance team to prepare for external audits
• Accurately update internal CRM system with compliance information
• Consistently aim to refine and improve the candidate journey, making recommendations to management.
• Collaborate with the wider regional team to ensure that candidate files are cleared efficiently
• Meet and exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to effectively contribute to the overall team’s success
• Ensure all documentation is stored securely and in line with GDPR guidance

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 12 months experience working in a compliance role
• The confidence and motivation to work independently
• The ability to work to operate wite strict timeframes
• Have excellent organisation skills to manage a high volume of candidate files
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Excellent attention to detail
