Job description

Working within the U&D Division of PIB Group, we are now looking to recruit a seasoned Compliance Officer, reporting into the Head of 1st Line of Defence. You will work within the business to deliver accurate and effective compliance advice and support, helping to ensure that the retail and wholesale businesses meet their regulatory obligations, and that processes and procedures are adhered to.

You should have experience working within a financial services compliance role, be hands-on, and able to collaborate with different stakeholders. Confidence in producing process documentation, reports, and MI that engage key stakeholders is essential.

Responsibilities:
  1. Work with the business to drive activity supporting business objectives while ensuring adherence to group policies.
  2. Collaborate with 2LoD to ensure advice and guidance are interpreted and implemented in line with group risk appetite.
  3. Highlight priority compliance actions by collating and analyzing conduct and regulatory MI, and conducting trend and root cause analysis.
  4. Ensure business controls are effective and take action to improve or close gaps where necessary.
  5. Support the creation of compliant documentation, undertake regular reviews of approved material, and ensure regulatory changes are implemented.
  6. Support and, where appropriate, own the management of breaches, E&O's, and complaints, focusing on root cause and control effectiveness.
