Role overview:

The Compliance Monitoring and Testing (“CMT”) Team is an independent oversight function responsible for testing and monitoring activities to assess the effectiveness of processes and controls supporting the compliance framework. The CMT Group collaborates with Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance, Legal, Internal Audit, and business functions. The CMT Manager supports the CMT Senior Manager in developing, managing, executing, and improving the CMT Program.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and enhance enterprise-wide CMT methodologies and governance.
  • Develop a risk-based annual CMT plan with Compliance teams.
  • Create reports on CMT activities, progress, and remediation.
  • Manage CMT activities throughout their cycle: planning, execution, reporting, and remediation.
  • Prepare reports and collaborate with stakeholders on root cause analysis and remediation.
  • Maintain documentation in Archer.
  • Track and verify remediation plan implementations.
  • Participate in training and awareness initiatives.
  • Stay updated on regulations and industry trends.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Manage a team.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in executing CMT programs, testing plans, and activities across financial services/products.
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations, and risk practices in financial services.
  • Proven track record of delivering outcomes on time and within budget.
  • Experience in metrics development and reporting.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Motivated, analytical, organized, innovative, and adaptable.
  • Good presentation skills, multi-tasking, team-oriented, self-starting.
  • Ability to collaborate globally.
  • Flexibility for extended hours if needed.
  • Ability to work independently when necessary.
  • Experience with data analysis tools (SQL, Tableau, SAS, Snowflake).
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint/Google Slides and Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related fields.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with third-party vendor monitoring/testing.
  • Interest or experience in cryptocurrency.
  • Experience with AML systems and programs.
  • Knowledge of financial regulatory bodies.
  • Professional certifications (CRCM, CAMS, CIA, CISA, CICA).
  • Experience managing large teams.
