Compliance Manager – Travel Industry
Are you a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in credit control, finance, risk assessment, or business administration? The UK’s largest consortia for independent travel businesses is seeking a Compliance Manager to join their dynamic team. This pivotal role ensures financial security and operational integrity by identifying risks and implementing solutions to protect the business and its members. Salary of £32k to £35k dependent on experience.

Compliance Manager – Role & Responsibilities:

  1. Act as the main point of contact for colleagues, business partners, and stakeholders reporting concerns or compliance issues.
  2. Assess risk levels of applicants and existing members, ensuring proactive management.
  3. Conduct trust account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies efficiently.
  4. Monitor and follow up on concerns, escalating where necessary and recording all actions taken.
  5. Lead internal engagement during an event of default, ensuring clear communication with colleagues and clients.
  6. Liaise with new member applicants to confirm business reconciliations as required.
  7. Administer Event of Default payments, ensuring compliance and financial integrity.

Compliance Manager – Skills & Experience Required:

  1. Experience in credit control, finance, risk assessment, business administration/support roles, preferably in the travel industry but not essential.
  2. Ability to prioritise workload effectively, taking ownership of tasks.
  3. Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  4. Self-motivated, able to work to strict timescales with confidence.
  5. Strong multitasking skills, using initiative and sound judgment in complex situations.
  6. Proficient in IT systems, maintaining high levels of accuracy in records and reporting.
  7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with confidence in liaising with external partners and sensitivity when handling potentially sensitive situations.

Compliance Manager - Key Benefits:

  1. Salary according to experience but circa £32k to £35k.
  2. Monday to Friday 0900 to 1730 (flexi time at start and end of day available)
  3. Office based but flexibility to work from home 2 days per month
  4. Travel & holiday discounts
