Job description

Compliance Manager - Oversight & Assurance

We have an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Manager - Oversight and Assurance to join our Compliance department at Tokio Marine Kiln. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, you will be responsible for delivering TMK's Compliance Oversight and Assurance activities, including developing the annual Compliance Oversight & Assurance Monitoring Plan focused on key compliance risks.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Delivering the annual Compliance Oversight and Assurance Monitoring Plan and managing resources to meet both annual and long-term compliance objectives.
  2. Reporting key findings from business transaction data concerning compliance controls and breaches to the Head of Compliance.
  3. Innovatively designing and preparing reports/MI on compliance performance and findings for committees, boards, external stakeholders, and others.
  4. Providing monthly reports to the Head of Compliance and quarterly reports to the Executive Committee and RCCC.
  5. Managing special investigations and ad-hoc oversight activities as required.
  6. Identifying, reporting, recording, analyzing, and escalating incidents and breaches, including root cause analysis.
  7. Tracking outcomes from thematic and ad-hoc reviews to completion.
  8. Managing the Compliance O&A Framework and ensuring review of process documents annually.
  9. Maintaining awareness of changes in the regulatory environment UK and abroad, ensuring the Oversight & Assurance framework aligns with best practices.
  10. Supporting business development and strategy by adapting assurance work to ensure regulatory compliance.
  11. Challenging and supporting the Head of Compliance as a sounding board.
  12. Providing rigorous oversight to deliver clear assurance to management and boards.
  13. Promoting a Speak Up / Listen Up culture and fostering a psychologically safe environment to reduce risks and benefit the business and customers.

We seek candidates with extensive compliance experience in roles related to compliance, audit, risk, or regulation, preferably within the London insurance market, holding professional qualifications at degree level or higher. Knowledge of insurance-specific matters such as sanctions, AML, fraud, Lloyd's licenses, and anti-competitive behavior is highly desirable.
