The Role

Bolton Council is expanding its Corporate Property team, which plays a vital role in the borough’s regeneration and manages a capital projects portfolio valued at over £50m.

The Compliance Manager reports to the Head of Corporate Property Operations and works closely with FM officers and asset management officers to ensure contract compliance and performance are met.

You will prepare and present monthly performance reports, analyze data for trends, particularly regarding costs, and share information with the team and senior management. You will also develop lifecycle cost models and challenge contractors on health and safety, quality, and value for money issues, escalating concerns when necessary.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone experienced in contract compliance, cost management, and asset performance. The role is based at Bolton’s Town Hall, with some remote work flexibility.

About You

You are proactive, organized, and results-oriented, aiming to contribute significantly to Corporate Property. A thorough understanding of compliance functions in facilities management and service delivery is essential to ensure statutory building and asset maintenance compliance.

You possess strong leadership skills, capable of managing a team of compliance professionals, with a focus on performance targets and customer service excellence.

Excellent report writing, data analysis, and performance monitoring skills are required, along with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including senior management and council members.
