We’re working with a top-tier regional law firm that’s looking for aCompliance Managerto join their collaborative Cardiff office.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a solid compliance background who’s ready to step into a broad, hands-on role. You’ll be supporting the Head of Best Practice & Risk in managing everything from professional indemnity claims to AML, policy reviews, and internal audits.

The Role?

  1. Overseeing professional indemnity claims and client complaint handling
  2. Investigating and managing compliance breaches (data and regulatory)
  3. Supporting AML and client onboarding reviews and policies
  4. Helping lead internal audits, risk reporting, and vetting activities
  5. Working with legal teams to manage queries around AML, conflicts, sanctions, and regulatory updates
  6. Keeping registers, reporting tools, and shared inboxes organised and up to date
  7. Collaborating cross-functionally across the business

About you?

  1. Experience in compliance, risk, or quality within the legal sector
  2. Strong understanding of AML regulations and a knack for auditing or investigations
  3. Confident communicator who’s comfortable managing sensitive matters
  4. Solid project management and attention to detail
  5. Someone who thrives working as part of a close-knit team, but can hold their own
