The Role
An exciting opportunity for a Compliance Manager to join a dynamic regulatory compliance team on a 12-month fixed-term basis. This is a hands-on and strategic role providing exposure to technical financial regulatory advisory and firm-wide compliance leadership. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading FCA regulatory compliance, including advisory, policies, and controls.
- Managing and enhancing the compliance monitoring programme.
- Providing expert advice on regulatory matters related to investments, listed securities, and new product development.
- Overseeing the implementation of SM&CR and maintaining the firm’s Compliance Policy Manual.
- Delivering tailored training and developing internal compliance culture and frameworks.
- Supporting international regulatory mapping across key jurisdictions.
- Supervising a small team and contributing to compliance communications and MI reporting.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Significant experience in FCA-regulated financial services, ideally private equity, asset management, or investment banking.
- Strong knowledge of FCA regulations including PRIN, SYSC, COCON, COBS, and MAR.
- Proven track record in building and implementing compliance monitoring programmes.
- Experience managing or mentoring team members.
- Familiarity with multi-jurisdictional regulatory obligations (particularly in Africa and South Asia).
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and a solutions-oriented mindset.
- A background in law or an equivalent academic discipline.
