Job Description

One of the world’s global leaders in the Financial Services industry is looking to hire an experienced Compliance Manager into their London office. The role will form a part of the firm’s global compliance function and play an integral part in their UK compliance operations. The role involves working across both Cayman and London and is looking for those with previous Cayman compliance experience. This firm has enjoyed huge growth in recent years, with good governance and compliance at the heart of this. The function is truly valued and is well supported by the in-house legal team as well. Business wise, they are fantastic firm that works with some of the world’s premier clients in the Funds industry.

The role will have a global remit and it’s such an exciting time to join the business.

The role:
  • Assist in operating, developing, enhancing and communicating the objectives of the firms risk and compliance framework with an emphasis on risk mitigation and challenge, and assessment of business risk;
  • Review KYC and assist Business in the review of documents for low, medium and high risk clients/investors, including PEPs;
  • Review and advise Business on high risk activities such as third-party payments and bank account change;
  • Oversight of the sanction screening process, including potential filings of Compliance Reporting Forms;
  • Prepare and deliver the quarterly Compliance Monitoring Program to the Board of Directors;
  • Promote a compliance culture within the firm;
  • Assess and document the firms Risk and Compliance objectives;
  • Provide training to staff on key AML/ATF/APF regulations and the firms policies and procedures;
  • Prepare and deliver AMLCO/MLRO reports;
  • Prepare and deliver reports to the Board of Directors on a regular basis;
  • Investigate suspicious activity reports and, where necessary, prepare documentation for filing with the relevant Authority;
  • Have key involvement in the development of IT solutions for regulatory requirements;
  • Implement corrective actions to prevent identified compliance gaps;
  • Monitor client activity;
  • Oversight of the AML/ATF/APF portion of the external Audit;
  • Provide AML Officer function to Cayman Funds/Entities as required;
  • Other job functions as required.
Job requirements:
  • Experience working with a multinational financial services organization and with Cayman compliance experience;
  • Experience in the Funds industry is essential as well;
  • A relevant qualification such as the ACAMS;
  • 5 years of experience +;
  • Previous experience filing SARs;
  • Comfortable in a role with a direct client interaction;
  • Full UK work rights are essential – the firm does not have the option to provide a working visa for this position.
