Salary: £44,000 per annum, Contract

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm (35hrs per week)

We are seeking a dedicated, competent, qualified, and skilled Compliance Manager (Fire Lead) with a proven track record to join our team. The role involves ensuring ongoing fire safety compliance by managing service providers and driving the client's strategic approach to fire safety across our estate.

Role Overview:

The Compliance Manager (Fire Lead) will act as the nominated Responsible Person for fire safety. Responsibilities include overseeing the provision, management, and quality assurance of a Fire Risk Management service, shaping fire property compliance, and asset management strategies. The goal is to ensure properties are safe, well-maintained, and compliant with all relevant legislation, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire) Order 2005, Building Safety Act 2022, and Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022.

The role involves managing risk assessments, developing fire safety policies, ensuring legal compliance, collaborating with teams, overseeing maintenance programs, and maintaining a safe environment for all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage fire safety compliance programs across all sites.
  • Review and maintain action logs for fire risk assessments and audits.
  • Develop, review, and implement fire safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
  • Liaise with fire authorities, insurers, and auditors.
  • Provide fire safety training and advice to staff.
  • Investigate fire incidents and recommend corrective actions.
  • Stay updated on fire safety laws and best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and facilities management.
  • Lead fire compliance meetings and initiatives.
  • Build relationships for knowledge transfer and training.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation and standards.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in fire safety management or compliance roles, preferably in local authority or educational settings.
  • Relevant fire management qualifications such as NEBOSH Fire Safety or IFE certifications.
  • Experience working with regulatory bodies and emergency services is advantageous.
  • Ability to develop and implement risk management strategies.
