Location: Worcester (WR5)

Hybrid: Yes

Salary: £44,000 per annum, Contract

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm (35hrs per week)

We are seeking a dedicated, competent, qualified and skilled Compliance Manager (Fire Lead) with a successful track record to join our team. The role involves ensuring continued compliance by managing service providers and overseeing fire safety compliance across our estate.

Role Overview:

The Compliance Manager (Fire Lead) will be the nominated Responsible Person for fire safety, overseeing fire risk management and ensuring properties meet legislative standards including the Regulatory Reform (Fire) Order 2005, Building Safety Act 2022, and Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022.

You will manage risk assessments, develop fire safety policies, collaborate with teams, and oversee maintenance programs to ensure safety for all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage fire safety compliance programs across all sites.
  • Review and maintain fire risk assessments and audits.
  • Develop and implement fire safety policies.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
  • Liaise with fire authorities, insurers, and auditors.
  • Provide fire safety training and advice to staff.
  • Investigate fire incidents and recommend corrective actions.
  • Stay updated with fire safety laws and best practices.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Lead fire compliance management and build relationships for training and guidance.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation and regulations.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in fire safety management, preferably in local authority or education sectors.
  • Relevant qualifications such as NEBOSH Fire Safety or IFE certifications.
  • Experience working with regulatory bodies and emergency services is a plus.
