Salary: £44,000 per annum, Contract

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm (35hrs per week)

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated, competent, qualified, and skilled Compliance Manager (Fire Lead) with a successful track record to join our team. The role involves ensuring continued compliance by managing service providers and overseeing fire safety compliance across our estate.

Role Overview:

The Compliance Manager (Fire Lead) will be the nominated Responsible Person for fire safety, overseeing fire risk management, property compliance, and asset management strategies to ensure properties are safe and compliant with relevant legislation including the Regulatory Reform (Fire) Order 2005, Building Safety Act 2022, and Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022.

The role includes managing risk assessments, developing fire safety policies, ensuring legal adherence, collaborating with teams, and overseeing maintenance programs to maintain a safe environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage fire safety compliance programs across all sites.
  • Review and maintain fire risk assessments and audits.
  • Develop and implement fire safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
  • Coordinate with fire authorities, insurers, and auditors.
  • Train staff on fire safety practices and emergency procedures.
  • Investigate fire incidents and recommend corrective actions.
  • Stay updated on fire safety laws and best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and facilities teams.
  • Lead fire compliance management and risk strategies.
  • Build relationships for knowledge transfer and training.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation and regulations.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in fire safety management or compliance roles.
  • Qualifications such as NEBOSH Fire Safety, IFE certifications, or equivalent.
  • Experience with regulatory bodies and emergency services is a plus.
  • Ability to develop risk management strategies.
