Job description

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Group Compliance team in a new role as AICL Compliance Manager, this will involve activities for our UK based insurer, AICL (Admiral Insurance Company Limited). This role will hold the Line 1 compliance responsibilities for AICL, ensuring regulatory compliance and oversight of EUI limited for its outsourced activities.

A key responsibility of this role is to ensure effective, robust, and proportionate compliance-based activities are in place for AICL. This will require passion, a willingness to work collaboratively across teams and for someone who can work independently to identify and present solutions to senior management.

In Group Compliance, we all look to support and collaborate as much as possible, fostering a culture of openness and a desire to enable skills/knowledge development across our teams and more broadly, the Group Risk, Compliance and Privacy function.

Main Duties

  1. Schedule, attend and document AICL Compliance/Outsourcer meetings.
  2. Complete AICL regulatory returns to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
  3. Ensure all SM&CR activities are undertaken on time and meet regulatory and board requirements.
  4. Prepare communications in a clear, consistent, and accurate manner.
  5. Identify any regulatory changes and arrange for summaries to be produced for AICL board.
  6. Ensure Product Governance oversight arrangements are appropriate.
  7. Collaborate with AIGL, EUI, Co-insurers (Great Lakes), and Group Teams.
  8. Assist with compliance-based projects.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience
  1. Proven experience in a UK Insurance company.
  2. Detailed knowledge of FCA regulatory requirements and good knowledge of the regulatory landscape.
  3. Confidence in engaging with, presenting to and challenging senior stakeholders.
  4. Ability to manage complex tasks/projects and comfortable working independently.
  5. Work well within a team and support others.
  6. Highly organised and proactive.
  7. Report writing and project management abilities.
  8. ICA or CII qualification would be preferable but isn't essential.
