Compliance Manager - Private Markets

A financial services firm is seeking a Compliance Manager to join its UK Compliance Advisory Team, focusing on Private Markets. The role involves providing advisory and technical support on UK and EU regulatory requirements (e.g., MiFID II, AIFMD, SFDR) to the Private Markets business, excluding financial crime compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a subject matter expert on regulatory matters for Private Markets.
  • Support senior compliance leaders in governance processes, conduct risk management, and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with risk and governance teams to enhance procedures and controls.
  • Deliver compliance training and maintain strong relationships across the business.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • In-depth knowledge of UK/EU regulations and asset management compliance (especially SYSC, COBS, FUND).
  • Expertise in alternative funds, structured products, private credit, and sustainable finance regulations.
  • Degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
