Overview

Technical Manager / Compliance Manager in a non-factory environment, based in Trowbridge. £50-55k DOE. Site based. The role is for a food broker that supplies food service customers. Working from small and friendly open plan offices in Trowbridge, the successful candidate will work as part of the UK arm of a global group, with turnover around £30M. The company does not manufacture foods but works closely with suppliers in Europe and beyond who are accredited with BRC or similar standards. The business serves mainly non-retail customers including leading food groups and has an excellent reputation in the food industry. The role has been created due to retirement and will report to senior management; the successful person will have two assistants.

Responsibilities

• As the Compliance Manager, you will manage and develop technical documentation, such as product specifications and company technical procedures.
• Manage the supplier accreditation database and respond to customer technical questionnaires or queries regarding product information.

Qualifications and Experience

• Food or drink technical experience.
• Working knowledge of customer product specifications, packaging, technical information, HACCP, allergens, and ideally BRC standards.
• Environmental knowledge is helpful.
• Highly organised and analytical with strong IT skills and effective communication abilities.
