Citrus Recruit are excited to be recruiting for a Compliance Manager working within the Transportation and Haulage industry.

As a Compliance Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our operations remain fully compliant with industry regulations, legal requirements, and internal standards. Working closely with the Head of Compliance and H&S Manager, you will be at the forefront of maintaining high standards across Health & Safety, transport, and regulatory compliance, while supporting and guiding colleagues to embed a culture of best practice across the business.

Responsibilities & day to day duties

As a Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Work closely with the Head of Compliance and H&S Manager to maintain compliance across the business.
• Assist with Health & Safety documentation and driver inductions.
• Conduct Toolbox Talks and ensure drivers complete necessary training.
• Carry out vehicle gate checks (safety, security, condition, and defect checks).
• Complete driver induction paperwork, including licence checks and starter packs.
• Monitor and report on compliance risks, escalating issues where necessary.
• Ensure driver EU and Working Time infringements are monitored, managed, and supported with training.
• Oversee company van usage and tachograph analysis (RHA).
• Investigate irregularities and non-compliance issues, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
• Maintain accurate records and provide reports to senior management.
• Support Transport Managers with information and compliance updates.

Skills & experience required

• Previous experience in a compliance role within transport, logistics, or a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety, transport legislation, and driver compliance.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Confident communicator, able to deliver training and engage with staff at all levels.
• Proactive problem-solver with the ability to investigate and resolve issues.
• Good IT skills with experience maintaining compliance records and reports.
