Job Title: Compliance Manager

We’re recruiting for a Compliance Manager to join our team. In this role, you will work as part of the Compliance Advisory team and a wider Compliance team to provide high-quality compliance advisory support, principally within Private Markets. You will proactively advise, challenge, review, train, and support the business to understand its regulatory responsibilities and ensure compliance, delivering conduct risk mitigation and maximizing business benefits.

What you'll be doing:

  • Providing first-class, commercially focused compliance advisory support to the business across asset classes or business areas; proactively advising, challenging, reviewing, training, and supporting the business to understand and comply with regulation.
  • Analyzing emerging and developing regulation to support business stakeholders in understanding impacts and planning required changes to stay compliant.
  • Focusing activities to deliver risk-based conduct risk and compliance value while identifying additional beneficial areas.
  • Developing strong relationships with stakeholders, utilizing communication skills and expertise to achieve outcomes and perform value-added activities.
  • Maintaining open dialogue with stakeholders, suggesting ways to understand and mitigate conduct risk, and ensuring regulatory implications of new initiatives are understood.
  • Collaborating with the Senior Compliance Manager to ensure relevant conduct risk metrics are available.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and updating compliance policies and procedures; producing internal communication materials to raise awareness.
  • Ensuring appropriate processes and controls are in place, escalating risks and issues, and supporting fair treatment of customers and clients.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in private markets.
  • Exposure to direct investment management across asset classes and understanding of the end-to-end investment process.
  • Knowledge of global regulation and conduct risk within investment management (e.g., AIFMD, MIFID).
  • Proficiency in financial promotions review and approval.
  • Strong communication, influencing, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build effective stakeholder relationships and demonstrate independence while providing practical solutions.
  • Resilience, outcome-oriented, with high attention to detail.
