Role overview

The role will be an integral part of the award-winning global Kambi Legal and Compliance Teams - which is growing at an accelerated pace.

As a Compliance Manager, serving as the second line of defence, you will be responsible for testing the effectiveness of internal controls related to sports betting regulation. Collaborating closely with relevant teams, you will develop improvement plans to address identified weaknesses and ensure that deficiencies are escalated to senior management promptly. Your responsibilities will include providing quarterly compliance reports to senior management and contributing to the long-term strategic direction of the team. You will also manage policies in the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC) areas, including gifts, hospitality, and conflict of interest. This includes providing advice and maintaining relevant registers. Additionally, you will perform risk assessments and ensure that all related training and controls meets the company's needs and addresses identified risks.

As a Compliance Manager, your day-to-day work will look like:

1. Testing the effectiveness of internal controls related to sports betting regulation.
2. Collaborating closely with relevant teams to develop improvement plans addressing identified weaknesses.
3. Ensuring that deficiencies are escalated to senior management promptly.
4. Providing quarterly compliance reports to senior management.
5. Contributing to the long-term strategic direction of the team.
6. Managing policies in the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC) areas, including gifts, hospitality, and conflict of interest.
7. Performing risk assessments and ensuring that related training and controls meet the company's needs and address identified risks.
8. Providing advice and maintaining relevant registers.

The role will include:

1. Collaborating with internal teams to create improvement plans to address deviations and follow up on implementation.
2. Escalating material compliance risks to senior management.
3. Preparing quarterly reports on compliance matters for the Compliance Committee.
4. Providing advice on compliance-related topics.
5. Performing risk assessments in relevant areas and working with internal teams to develop a compliance plan to address weaknesses.
6. Ensuring company policies are appropriately implemented by relevant teams, conducting investigations into compliance-related issues, and monitoring the effectiveness of corrective actions.
7. Staying updated on relevant legal and regulatory developments that may impact the company and ensuring the company's practices align with evolving requirements.
8. Supporting the creation and delivery of training programs, tracking completion, and helping improve awareness around compliance-related themes, reinforcing the company's compliance culture.

You'll be a great fit for the role, if you have:

1. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. A relevant professional certification within compliance is considered a plus.
2. At least 5 years of relevant control-related professional experience within the gambling industry or other highly regulated sector.
3. A proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
4. The ability to manage work with dynamically shifting priorities, timelines, and demands.
5. Strong organizational skills with a high level of independence, integrity, and excellent judgment.
6. Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
