Nigel Frank International is partnering with a financial services client in Liverpool to recruit an experienced Compliance Manager to strengthen the organisation’s compliance framework and policies. This strategic, hands-on role reports to the Chief Risk Officer and works closely with the Board and Executive Committee.

You will also assume the Data Protection Officer responsibility, guiding GDPR compliance, data protection training and awareness, while advising teams across the business on

Qualifications

• At least five years’ compliance experience in financial services or insurance.
• Strong knowledge of FCA regulation (SYSC, ICOBS, PROD, SM&CR, Consumer Duty).
• Experience as a Certified Individual under SM&CR.
• Strong understanding of UK data protection law.

Responsabilités

• Support the Chief Risk Officer with regulatory engagement with the FCA, PRA and ICO.
• Help the business meet Consumer Duty and other regulatory obligations.
• Deliver the Compliance Assurance Plan and oversee reviews.
• Act as Data Protection Officer and oversee GDPR compliance, awareness and training.
• Lead compliance training and initiatives to build awareness and accountability.
• Review and sign off financial promotions and customer-facing materials.
• Monitor regulatory developments and prepare the business for change.
• Provide practical, commercially focused compliance advice.
• Carry out regulatory reviews (e.g., GDPR, Consumer Duty).
• Support business projects as the key Compliance contact from outset.

Compliance Manager

Nigel Frank is recruiting on behalf of a financial services client in Liverpool. This not-for-profit organisation provides corporate health plans and supports customers across the UK.

They’re looking for an experienced Compliance Manager to strengthen the organisation’s Compliance Framework and policies. This is a strategic, hands-on role working closely with the Chief Risk Officer, Board and Executive Committee, while advising teams across the business.

You’ll also take on the Data Protection Officer role, leading the organisation’s approach to data protection and GDPR compliance.

What you’ll be doing

What you’ll bring

• At least five years’ compliance experience in insurance or financial services
• Strong knowledge of FCA regulation, including SYSC, ICOBS, PROD, SM&CR and Consumer Duty
• Experience as a Certified Individual under SM&CR
• A strong understanding of UK data protection law
• A strategic, proactive and values-led approach
• Confidence building relationships, influencing across an organisation and challenging constructively

Desirable

• A degree or equivalent professional experience
• A compliance or data protection qualification, such as ICA or CISM
• Previous experience as a DPO or in a similar data protection role
