We are Compliance Engineering, a global team of more than 400 engineers and scientists working on complex, mission-critical problems.

• Build and operate platforms and applications that prevent, detect, and mitigate regulatory and reputational risks.
• Access the latest technology and large amounts of structured and unstructured data.
• Leverage modern frameworks for building responsive front-end and Big Data applications.

The firm is investing significantly in 2025 to uplift and rebuild the Compliance application portfolio. We are establishing a new Compliance Engineering team in Birmingham, offering a unique opportunity to be part of this exciting initiative and help shape its vision.

Roles

We are looking to fill several full-stack developer roles across different teams.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

• Partner globally with sponsors, users, and engineering colleagues across divisions to create end-to-end solutions.
• Learn from experts and innovate new ideas.
• Work on a broad range of problems, including large data sets, real-time processing, messaging, workflows, and UI/UX.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle: defining, designing, implementing, testing, deploying, and maintaining.

QUALIFICATIONS

A successful candidate will have:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar.
• 1-2 years of Java development experience.
• 1-2 years of experience in automated testing and SDLC concepts.
• Strong communication skills to express ideas clearly.

Preferred experience includes:

• API design and interconnected services.
• Message buses or real-time processing.
• Relational databases.
• Knowledge of the financial industry, compliance, or risk functions.
• Stakeholder influence skills.
