Job summary

A well-respected Housing Association in Birmingham is recruiting a Compliance & Asset Coordinator to join the team on a temp-to-perm basis. You’ll manage compliance records, coordinate contractors and third‑party providers, oversee audits and maintenance scheduling, and help maintain accurate property records.

Experience in social or supported housing and property compliance (Gas, EICR, Fire Safety) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in social or supported housing and a good understanding of property compliance, including Gas, EICR and Fire Safety.
• Well-organised, proactive and confident dealing with people; able to manage different priorities and chase tasks through.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Keep compliance and health & safety records accurate and up to date.
• Coordinate contractors, managing agents and third-party providers.
• Carry out compliance audits and follow up on issues.
• Schedule and oversee maintenance and compliance works.
• Monitor budgets and costs.
• Support onboarding of new properties.
• Investigate compliance issues and implement practical solutions.
• Produce reports and maintain property records.
• Build relationships with providers, Local Authorities and other stakeholders.
• Occasionally visit sites as needed.

We’re working with a well-respected Housing Association who are looking for a Compliance & Asset Coordinator to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in social housing, supported housing, property compliance or asset management who wants to take the next step in their career.

What will you be doing?

• Keeping compliance and health & safety records accurate and up to date.
• Coordinating contractors, Managing Agents and third-party providers.
• Carrying out compliance audits and following up on any issues.
• Scheduling and overseeing maintenance and compliance works.
• Monitoring budgets and costs.
• Supporting the onboarding of new properties.
• Investigating compliance issues and helping find practical solutions.
• Producing reports and maintaining accurate property records.
• Building positive relationships with providers, Local Authorities and other stakeholders.
• Getting out on site when needed.

What are they looking for?

You’ll ideally have experience within social or supported housing and a good understanding of property compliance, including areas such as Gas, EICR and Fire Safety.

Just as importantly, they’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and confident dealing with people. You’ll need to be comfortable managing different priorities, chasing things through and speaking up when something isn’t right.

A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide is also required.
