Job summary

Comex 2000 UK Ltd is seeking an experienced Compliance Assessor to join our field-based delivery team. You will audit sites, assess compliance, provide constructive feedback, and support subcontractors to meet standards across Civils, Cable, and Fibre programmes.

You'll act as a senior on-site authority, coach teams, review audits, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining a strong safety and quality culture. Regular travel to client sites is required.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience across Civils, Cable, and Fibre delivery, supervisory level.
• Strong background in compliance, auditing, quality assurance, and health & safety.
• Knowledge of SROH (Specification for the Reinstatement of Openings in Highways) and NRSWA / Street Works (Red Book).
• Proven ability to coach, influence, and challenge operational teams and leaders constructively.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site audits and compliance assessments in line with company standards, client requirements and regulatory obligations.
• Review operational audits, providing constructive feedback and practical recommendations to improve compliance and reduce risk.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance, including inductions, qualifications, and certifications.
• Act as a senior compliance authority on site, challenging non-compliance and supporting corrective actions.
• Carry out core sampling and Clegg testing to assess quality of civils and reinstatement works.
• Analyse audit, coring, and Clegg data to identify trends, defects, and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide technical assurance and support to Supervisors and operational teams during site activities and defect management.
• Coach and mentor teams to improve technical capability, compliance awareness, and ownership.
• Support delivery of training, toolbox talks, and compliance briefings.
• Collaborate with internal teams to drive continuous improvement and consistency across projects.
• Build strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.

We’re looking for an experienced Compliance Assessor to join our operational delivery team. This is a key role responsible forensuring compliance, quality, and safety standards are consistently metacross our Civils, Cable, and Fibre programmes.

As a trusted on-site expert, you’ll use your technicalknowledge and operational experience to audit, coach, challenge, and supportdelivery teams and subcontractors—driving high standards, reducing risk,and improving overall performance. You’ll play a critical role in embedding a strongcompliance culture while identifying opportunities for continuousimprovement across the business.

This is a field-based role with regular travel tosites.

Requirements

About you

• Extensiveexperience across Civils, Cable, and Fibre delivery, ideally atSupervisory or senior technical level
• Strongbackground in compliance, auditing, quality assurance, and health &safety within telecoms or construction environments
• Expertknowledge of SROH (Specification for the Reinstatement of Openings inHighways) and NRSWA / Street Works (Red Book)
• Provenability to coach, influence, and challenge operational teams andleaders constructively
• Confidentworking independently in fast-paced, high-risk environments
• Stronganalytical skills with the ability to interpret performance andcompliance data
• Excellentcommunication and stakeholder management skills
• Experienceworking with subcontractors and multisite operations
• Proficientin Microsoft Office (Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint) and relevantcompliance systems
• Proactive,detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement
