Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a Compliance and Quality Assurance Officer within the Strategy, Commissioning and Service Improvement Service at Waverley Court. You will support the Team Leader, Compliance and Quality Assurance to co-ordinate the Quality Management System and complete Compliance Checks across service areas.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating Quality Management System and compliance checks.
• Knowledge of social housing in Scotland or housing background preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 essential.
• Experience with process mapping and reporting tools beneficial.
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders across service areas.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate the Quality Management System and complete compliance checks across service areas.
• Provide support and advice to service managers on processes, procedures and operational practices to ensure quality standards.
• Establish, document and continuously improve processes, procedures and data quality using a risk-based approach.
• Work with stakeholders across multiple service areas to foster continuous improvement.

Compliance and Quality Assurance Officer- Service Improvement, Compliance and Quality Assurance Team

Waverley Court

Salary: £34,452 - £40,501

Hours: 36 per week, 52 weeks per year

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join the Strategy, Commissioning and Service Improvement Service as a Compliance Officer. The role is within our Compliance and Quality Assurance Team.

The successful applicant will support the Team Leader, Compliance and Quality Assurance to co-ordinate the Quality Management System and complete Compliance Checks in a variety of service areas. They will also provide support and advice to service managers on processes, procedures and operational practices ensuring they are compliant with relevant quality assurance standards.

We are looking for someone who is methodical, detail oriented, able to break down, communicate and map complex cross functional processes. Ideally you will have good knowledge of social housing in Scotland or a housing background. A good level of experience with M365 is essential and experience with process mapping and reporting tools would be beneficial. Knowledge or experience of Quality and Risk Management would also be beneficial

You will work with a variety of Stakeholders and Colleagues across multiple service areas to support them establish, document and continuously improve processes, procedures and data quality using a risk-based approach.
