Job description

Are you a high-calibre professional with a passion for compliance and ESG? We are seeking an experienced Compliance and ESG Lead to join a dynamic team of governance professionals. This is an exciting opportunity to manage and continually improve business management systems in a changing digital workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and improve business management systems in line with business strategy.
  • Maintain and roll out ISO standards certifications (9001, 14001, 45001, 19650) across various operations.
  • Manage the Governance budget and ensure value for money.
  • Chair compliance, sustainability, and social committees.
  • Respond to bids and support the team in producing winning answers to QSHE topics.
  • Manage relationships with external bodies and suppliers.
  • Provide advice on ESG compliance and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Line manage a team of associates and senior team members.
  • Work closely with the ESG manager to achieve ESG targets, including net zero for UK and global regions.
  • Collaborate with the finance team on supplier compliance issues.
  • Review and maintain the business risk register and global risk returns.
  • Coordinate the Directors’ report for annual reports and accounts.
  • Prepare and report monthly on Governance KPIs.

Person Specification:

  • Experience in a senior compliance role.
  • Experience with ESG reporting and carbon footprint calculations.
  • Strong track record in management systems improvement and project management.
  • Excellent communication skills and business acumen.
