An exciting opportunity has become available for one full-time and one part-time Compliance & Administration Officer based at Kent Police Headquarters.

The successful candidate will support and assist the Compliance & Governance Manager with a range of administrative duties, which enable estate facilities services to be compliant with all relevant legislative, regulatory and policy requirements. The role also includes providing administrative support to other members of Estate & Facilities Services teams, as well as essential support for departmental boards and meetings to ensure the smooth and efficient day to day running of all aspects of the department’s work.

The main duties will include:

  • Ownership of meetings and boards (organising, minute taking, agenda setting, record keeping, collating and distributing papers, keeping action trackers and holding people accountable).
  • Reviewing and updating policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Monitoring, updating and maintaining the departmental risk register, escalating significant risks as necessary.
  • Management of department databases and document folders.
  • Management of key projects for the department (recording, tracking and reporting on progress/performance).
  • Communication – updating the department intranet pages, responding to and managing enquiries, liaising with colleagues across the Force to ensure they are kept updated on key projects and tasks which may impact them.

The successful candidate will be able to provide evidence of the following criteria:

  • Microsoft Office technology
  • The basic principles of project management
  • The basic principles of Health & Safety
  • Innovation and taking ownership

This role may require travel to/working from other locations within the County on occasion. There may also be an option to work from home as required/agreed by line manager.

Kent Police offer incremental increases within this salary band, therefore the salary for this position will rise to a maximum of£30,453.00.
