Job Description:

Associate Director - Fixed Term Contract

Fitch Ratings is currently seeking an Associate Director based out of our London or Manchester office. This role is a temporary maternity cover for a permanent employee within the Personal Conflicts Monitoring (PCM) team.

The successful candidate will work closely with PCM colleagues across regions, as well as with Legal, Business Management, Human Resources, and other support functions. They will develop an understanding of Fitch Ratings’ business operations, regulatory environment, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and oversee compliance with the Firm's Code of Conduct and Global Securities Trading and Conflicts of Interest policies, including employee trading, gifts, outside interests, and certifications, in collaboration with London and US compliance teams.
  • Manage the onboarding process for employees in designated regions, coordinating with HR, business lines, and candidates to complete compliance disclosures.
  • Investigate potential conflicts of interest identified through securities trading surveillance or recusals, providing support to HR and business lines.
  • Engage with business leaders, support groups, and compliance colleagues to advise on policies related to securities trading and conflicts of interest.
  • Take a proactive approach with ownership and leadership for the assigned regions.

Qualifications:

  • Significant hands-on experience in financial services, particularly in monitoring conflicts related to employee securities trading, outside interests, gifts, and entertainment.
  • Ability to communicate policies effectively to candidates, employees, and managers.
  • Knowledge of local regulatory requirements and the ability to identify emerging compliance issues.
  • Strong organizational skills, responsiveness, and the ability to analyze discrepancies and consider alternative actions.
